All about discounts and processing an order with a credit
Brands can create discount codes for retailers, which can be personalized, and choose whether they are available to all retailers or only to Boutique Hub members.
Note: Retailers should use the code before placing the order. The discounted amount will appear after the brand creates the shipment and will only apply to the order total, not including the shipping fee. (See screenshot below for reference.) Here's how to get there:
1. Click on the "Products" button.
2. Look for the "Discount" button and click.
3. Next, click the "Add new discount" button.
Here's how you can create your discount code:
1. Create your own code at the "Discount Code" box. It is personalized or publicly-released codes you can offer to retailers. Brands can set a combination of numbers and letters, which usually describe the offer or discount.
2. Choose your discount type on the second bar whether it is by percentage, dollar or free shipping.
3. On this third bar, the value will differ if you are using a dollar or percentage for your discount. Enter your desired value at the "Amount" bar and choose the number of uses.
4. Choose your desired "Starting and Expiration Date."
5. Choose whether it’s applicable to all products or to certain product/s.
6. Check the box if it's applicable to The Boutique Hub members only or Automatically to all retailers.
7. Lastly, click "save".
Creating a Discount Credit for a Specific Retailer
Brands can provide retailers a discount credit in two different ways: via orders and the My Customers tab.
I. Via Orders Tab (Click here for a short tutorial video.)
Go to Orders > Click on Order Number > Click on Buyers name (2nd screenshot).

II. Via My Customers tab (Click here for a short tutorial video.)
Go to Customers > My Customers > Click on your Customer’s name.
After clicking the retailer’s name, locate the “Create discount code” button and a pop-up window will appear. Populate the details asked to create the discount. (See screenshot below)
Creating a Free Shipping as a discount (Click here for a short tutorial video.)
To set free shipping on orders, you can do so by adding a "New Discount" code.
Here's how:
1. Click on the "Products" button.
2. Look for the "Discount" button and click.
3. Next, click the "Add new discount" button.
4. Create your own code at the "Discount Code" box.
5. On the "Type" bar, choose "Free Shipping." (For now, we don't have yet the option to set the minimum amount but we have forwarded this to our developers.)
6. Choose the number of uses, put your desired "Starting and Expiration Date", and if the discount will apply to all products or some.
7. Check the box if it's applicable to The Boutique Hub members only or Automatically to all retailers
8. Lastly, click "save".
If you want to send a "Free Shipping code" to a certain retailer, you may send it during their next order using our messaging feature or in any way you can communicate to your buyer.
